Dreamwork with Becky

Why study our dreams?

Dreamwork provides direct access to our soul. It supports us in our work of becoming a whole and healthy person. Dreamwork is sacred soul work. It aids us in the process of Individuation.

Advanced training in Jungian psychology creates the framework for my approach to dreamwork. Grounded in the work of Carl Jung, Marion Woodman, and other analytical psychologists, I explore dreams with directees who request it. I do not interpret your dreams for you. Together, we will explore your associations with your dream images, and I will support you in making meaning of them for your waking life.

My framework for working with dreams is called Projective Dreamwork. Several important underlying assumptions for this type of dreamwork, as created by Jeremy Taylor, create the framework for this type of exploration. Some of the basic assumptions* are:

1. All dreams come in the service of health and wholeness.

2. No dream comes just to tell the dreamer what they already know.

3. Only the dreamer can say with any certainty what their dream means. Usually in the form of an “aha” moment of recognition.

4. All dreams speak a universal language of metaphor and symbols.

5. There is no such thing as a dream with only one meaning.

I offer both individual and group opportunities for dreamwork. One-on-one sessions in spiritual direction offer focused opportunities for private dreamwork. Participation in six-week dream groups is also available for exploration in a community of dream explorers.
